Maximum Games Lineup for E3 2016
E3 2016 is less than a month away and it is about that time we start getting on that hype train don’t you think? Maximum games announced three action-packed titles that should cause our gaming senses to tingle just a bit. Try to understand that the information is very vague, but we here at Kumazoku Ent will try our best to inform you on what to expect.
It has been a long while since I have seen sports games named after famed athletes, it was kind of a big deal back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I am not going to BS you fine folks in stating that I know all about this rider of the snow, but I will do my research on that. What I am happy to say that I am a big snowboarding fan and about time more start to surface.
Build. Ride. Share.
“Explore a vast backcountry, fully customize your own mountain ranges and build your own parks in the most authentic snowboarding game ever created. With fluid, physics-driven control mechanics, procedural mountain generation and real-world competitions like Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Big Air you’ll ride your way through infinite powder and realistic runs – all the way to the top alongside pro boarder Mark McMorris.”
Seems there will be a lot of open powder to shred through with the ability to create a nice run for other users to enjoy. I am curious about the game physics, though, because I do enjoy a thrill ride snowboarding title that is not too heavy on the simulation portion. It is a video game and should have that level of fun and action. We shall see when more information surfaces.
Second title Road Rage.
Oh boy, now this really got my gaming prowess jumping up for joy. It is my dream to see something of this nature resurface since I’ve been a fan of games like Road Rash for as long as I remember. It is long over and the only time I got that form of nostalgia is playing some other open world titles where I can have motorcycle combat. Road Rage seems to be that title to bring me everything I ever wanted.
“In the broken city of Ashen, lines are heavily drawn and being “in” with the right people could mean the difference between life and death. You are Ace, the newest member of the outlaw motorcycle club controlling Ashen with its underground crime. You have two goals in life: earn lots of money and ride fast.
With big dreams to become club president, you set in motion a new strategy to fulfill the goals of the motorcycle gang, using your skill on a bike to propel you into a position of ultimate control. Once president, you can use your crew to chase your own goals.
However, challenging authority in Ashen simply isn’t done… and being reckless could lead you to learn about the real art of war!”
That last part of the synopsis, “Being Reckless could lead you to learn about the real art of war.” has me in tears a bit…tears of joy that is. Please save this for last with an intense speed of mayhem and carnage on motorcycles. I would love to see customization and a slew of different bikes to choose from. Bring it on Maximum Games.
Lastly Loading Human: Chapter 1.
Well, we all know that the VR titles were coming and I am not surprised how some industries will try their hand at the game. Here we are with Loading Human: Chapter 1 which gives off the impression that this will be an episodic title. At first glance, I am floored by the visuals and it looks pretty fluid, but I will save my thoughts until it is going through a full test drive. I do enjoy a good exploration game, but this might not be for me since the action seems a bit minimal, however, I have a few people that would be most interested in exploring this title.
“Loading Human is an episodic, VR adventure game that blends a deep story, interactivity, and physical gameplay within a compelling sci-fi universe set in the 22nd century.
Chapter One is the foundation. You are Prometheus. Your dying father – a genius scientist – summons you to his antarctic science lab with a grave request: travel deep into unknown space and retrieve the Quintessence – the most powerful source of energy in the universe. At stake is his life.”
I will admit this feels like a cross between Total Recall and Blade Runner which I am perfectly fine with that. I want to definitely keep a closer look at this title coming to PlayStation VR and the Oculus Rift.
Key Game Features
- Visually stunning futuristic environments, from the Antarctic to your own spaceship and far, far beyond
- Hundreds of opportunities to interact with compelling characters and objects
- Comprehensive tutorial teaches the basics of VR movement and controls
All right gamers, this is just the beginning of what’s in store for E3 in June. I thank you all for stopping by and please check back as we come across more information as we draw close to the big event. Stay frosty.
