Xbox Games with Gold for May 2017

You would be lying if you said that you do not like free games. I love the spring time and so far Xbox has been kicking much booty with their Games with Gold titles and each month is like a gift. Let’s take at the free games next month!

For the month of May, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 – as part of the Games with Gold program. You can play both Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One with Backward Compatibility.

On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut ($14.99 ERP) for free during the month of May. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris ($19.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from May 16th to June 15th. On Xbox 360, starting Monday, May 1st, Star Wars: The Force Unleased II ($19.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through May 15th. Then on May 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga ($19.99 ERP) for free through May 31st.

I have to say this is an improvement from the March Xbox release of Forced Unleashed where it was released on the 16th. Now my collection can be complete and May is going off strong with Twisted Dreams which was an interesting title when I first saw this a while ago as a platformer. Unique game switching dimensions as both characters. I did play Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris on the PlayStation which is a fun co-op title to play with your friends. Lastly Lego Star Wars you can’t go wrong. It is a fun time with funny antics and I am impressed with May’s choices indeed.

Also keep in mind that since they brought up Xbox Pass for the May edition of Games with Gold, might be an indication of the release. For those that do not know this is a new monthly download service like EA Access where for just ten dollars a month you get access to over 100 games to directly download to your system. Looking forward to trying that out and see where this takes the future of video games.

All right gamers, that is just one portion of the weekend gaming news and I hope to see you all soon for more reviews and previews. – Beast Out
