Dragon Ball Fighter Z Reaction

Hey, guys! Normally its been a minute since my last post review etc, but with the semester over why not keep up the momentum? Now while I was fending off demons in the 10th circle of Hell known as retail, I nearly lost focus when I found out a new Dragon Ball Z game is making its way to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in early 2018! Dragon Ball Fighter Z has already got fans across the board hyped.

Like any millennial nerd I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z on Toonami so naturally, my hype gauge is peaked. But why just peaked you ask? Well, any seasoned gamer who has played some of the many DBZ games out there on the market know that with DBZ games… its all hit or miss. Now we have gems like DBZ Budokai 1 and 3 and then never again such as DBZ Sagas & Battle of Z. And let’s not forget DBZ Taiketsu was so bad I beat matches in the dark (but that’s a story for another day)!

But fear not gaming fans of the series because Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming from the Arc systems family. For those of you unfamiliar with the company or fighting games in general Arc systems are behind amazing action packed kick ass goodness such as Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. So who better to make a DBZ game? Anime fighting games are these guys specialty! So if you’re on the “Eh IDK man DBZ games ain’t that hot” side of the spectrum just keep this info in mind.

But for me, the game does look kick ass. Graphics are perfect for DBZ, all the characters we’ve known and loved for years and the combat looks solid. At the end of the day, only time will tell if this is a DBZ game that will keep player glued to their controllers or just another bad seed in the bunch. What do you guys think? Spill or forever hold your peace until Dragon Ball FighterZ is released to the public in 2018!
