Pressure Overdrive Reveal
How many of you remember the old cartoon Wacky Racers? It was an old Hana Barbara cartoon where each character from a particular cartoon joins a Cannonball run style race against each other. It was pretty cool and I did have my favorites. This new game called Pressure Overdrive gives me the same vibe, but more battle vehicle oriented with a top down 3/4 view. Let’s take a gander at that trailer.
Pressure Overdrive is a complete overhaul of the original Pressure game. In this enhanced version, you revisit an action packed world, filled with crazy characters and funky humor. Pressure Overdrive will challenge your skills, while you race, ram and blast your way through countless bullets and enemies. Customize your buggy for clever play styles and have a friend join the cause in local coop mode. “La Resistance” counts on you! Do you have what it takes?
I love eccentric games of this nature a lot, it takes a step back from the norm and shows a grand amount of imagination. There is a nice touch of silliness that gives it that cartoony feel and of course having a local co-op feature for some couch fun is okay in my book. Here are some other features.
- Enhanced version
- Improved controls
- New Weapons
- Single player and local co-op
- Campaign and Freeplay mode
- New Endless mode
- New boss fights
- 3 Worlds with 30+ Levels
- Dozens of enemy types & 3 boss fights
- Upgrade your buggy with 35+ items
- Online high scores
- 10 languages supported
- The steamfunky soundtrack included!
“We have put a lot of time and energy into developing Pressure Overdrive. The result is a game that will appeal to all sorts of players and let everyone have a great time, regardless of their genre preferences. We are very proud of that”, says Josef Vorbeck, Producer at Chasing Carrots.
Pressure Overdrive will have a European release for the Steam Marketplace on July 25th and for the Xbox One as well as PlayStation 4 on July 26th, 2017. It will retail for 12.99 Euro which is 14.99 in USD. We shall see if more details on a Western release will be available, which I am pretty sure is. This looks too good of a game to not release in the states. Check back and hopefully, we shall have a review for you lovely gamers. – Beast Out –
