Razer SFV Panthera Arcade Stick

I am starting to appreciate arcade sticks a lot more since going back into fighting games, but it is more about the technical side overhauling it to better fit your needs. Been a while since I went to Video Games NY and checked out their display of parts to build your own stick or enhance one yourself. However, if you can’t there are many choices out there that fit your needs and this new Razer Panthera
Street Fighter V arcade stick exclusively made for the PlayStation 4 would be the one for you.

Built on years upon years of collective arcade and console gaming experience from pro gamers and the Razer community alike, the Razer Panthera arcade stick was engineered and refined to perfection through countless prototypes via an extensive beta testing phase and has been crafted to allow the same advanced modification that gamers and modders have come to love over the years. On top of having internals and storage easily accessible at the touch of a button, you can also fully change the joystick and all 10 buttons for complete customizability.

I really want to try this stick out, but I hope I can customize the buttons to be quiet, I really hate the heavy clicking sounds when you smashing in combos. Input lag is always an issue with most sticks and so far I have used Hori and Mad Catz. I do have some Razer products and they work too damn well, so I have hopes for the Panthera exclusive.

TECH SPECS

  • 10 tournament-grade Sanwa buttons
  • Authentic Sanwa joystick with ball top and additional bat top
  • Easy one-touch access to internals and storage
  • Fully accessible internals and storage compartments for easy modding
  • Honeycomb structure on the inside for easy screw mounting
  • Storage room for alternative bat top joystick and more
  • 9.8 ft / 3 m detachable screw-lock USB cable for secure connection
  • Screwdriver included for modding

I would be lying if I said I was not attracted by the art work. I have a few pieces done by Udon of street fighter and have this to my collection from Long Vo who took a classic Alpha picture and evolved it to our generation. It makes it feel like the series grew up with me having an older Ryu and Akuma starring each-other down in classic fashion.

The Razer Panthera was built for modding enthusiasts, so the inside of the platform is easily accessible for further customization, and the joystick as well as buttons can be switched to suit your playstyle. Furthermore, the entire bottom of the internal compartment is made to be easy to screw mount in every location.

So, before you open your wallets what is the cost that we are looking at to own this piece of fighting tech? It will run you $199.99 USD and apparently it is out of stock on the Razer website, but you can press that notify me button to get an update when a restock will happen. I hope you enjoyed this bit of news and be sure to check back for a possible review. – Beast Out
