Re: Legends Dual Swords & Armor Designs
To the people that are not supporting this Kickstarter which you should, we have a new update here and as a backer, I feel the need to share the information I am getting. I spoke about this game a few weeks back where this is a new co-op building action adventure game with so much to do and of course little cute monsters to collect. Now as of right now the developers of Re: Legend is about to reach their Nintendo Switch Goal which is amazing news and then after that is the PS4 stretch goal. It seems like a solid game so definitely check out their Kickstarter by clicking here and give them support. I just wanted to get that out of the way before I get into the update.
Re: Legend is an all-encompassing simulator with strong monster-raising features and co-op play for up to four players. Washed ashore on the island of Vokka, you have been given a chance at a brand new life. The soil is fertile, the locals are friendly, but most importantly, the island is swarming with monster-like creatures called Magnus. By taming and befriending wild Magnus, this new world will truly open up to you. From helping you in a wealth of activities to carrying you across the island, loyal Magnus are the key to a prosperous life.
I love any huge game with a lot of customization and Re: Legends is a cute looking adventure building game. I saw an email talking about weapons and armor designs, so of course the curiosity bug bit me hard. It kind of reminds me of chibi skyrim when it comes to the design that they are showcasing with the armor. Check it out!
It looks so cute and I am curious on how they will implement the build system or farming system in order to craft armor. This is all pretty neat, but it is not over because there is also information on the dual wielding weaponry too.
I am digging A and C a lot, there is some potential with B if they do a nice rotating animation for it. The Drill bit for C is an amazing design, but it looks better as a two handed weapon instead of a one handed. This also begs the question on what other weapons will we being to craft. I am not expecting too much, but it would be nice to have a variety in different classes.
For today’s update, we’re going to present you with our weapon and armor design workflow. We start off by selecting a biome from the game and proceed with designing the materials that could be found along the region. We will combine parts of the loot dropped by wild Magnus and materials found from activities like mining, logging, fishing, farming in the said region and rough up some concepts that could visually contain them. Despite the logic, sometimes we will end up picking the best looking concept instead of trying to fit the materials into them. We will give you the power to select a set of weapon and armor that will fit together perfectly, and the highest voted set of weapon and armor will be going into the final game.
It is looking quite good, but check out the Kickstarter which ends on August 25th, 2017 to give them support and that way we all can have the game on multiple console. – Beast Out –
