Kickstarter Preview of Hell Let Loose
For those looking for a realistic experience in combat well, Hell Let Loose seems to be the game that will give you just that. Coming from the developer’s Black Matter who is a small independent team using the Unreal Engine 4. Hell let loose will not be your arena-style shooter, but read on for full details.
You’ve never played World War 2 the way it was meant to be played… with lumbering tanks dominating the battlefield, crucial supply chains fueling the frontlines, being a cog in the machine of colossal combined arms warfare. Hell Let Loose puts you in the chaos of war, complete with deep player-controlled vehicles, a dynamically evolving frontline, and crucial platoon-focused gameplay that commands the tide of battle. This is a simulation of war… not an arcade arena shooter.
On paper, Hell Let Loose is a realistic multiplayer World War Two combined arms first person shooter of open battles of up to 100 players with infantry, tanks, artillery and a shifting front line. At it’s core is a unique resource-based strategic meta-game that is easy to learn, but hard to master.
Up too a hundred players they say? Wow that is going to be some gruesome combat to be had. I like the idea of world war 2 enthusiast working on a game of authenticity showing off the true grit of WW II combat. Now there is a kickstarter going on that you can be a part of to help make this game a reality.
Fight Alone, Die Alone. Fight Together, Win Together.
There are 27 days to go with this kickstarter that has a few tasty tiers with some nice rewards. Keep in mind that this game is based in Australia so the currency does change for us in the States. In that we can go in-depth with the maps that you will be playing on. Each one is divided into large caps with different strategic objectives. I am not going to touch base on anything because I want you to check out the kickstarter for yourselves, but I like the idea of tactical options to cripple your enemies. You will have the option to push to capture enemy fuel depots, defend your munitions cache, or flank the enemy sectors to deprive them of reinforcements. The choice is yours and with a big team you probably can handle two things at once to make the enemies panic. Divide and conquer as they would say.
What makes this different?
That is a good question and I will let the developers answer that.
As a team of realism and World War Two fans, we’ve always found there to be a profound lack of innovation in the first person shooter genre. Each World War Two game is either a run-and-gun blockbuster that places self-progression first and teamwork last, or it’s a remake of a classic title.
We have always felt that the genre could be pushed so much further – incorporating vehicles, open world battlefields, deployable fortifications, teamwork and realism all wrapped up in the beautiful graphics of a modern engine. This is not a World War Two title of last decade.
Pretty much, this will cater to those few that wants a more strategic teamed base military game, because honestly a lot of them are lacking a bit of teamwork outside of Battlefield who gets it right in that aspect. You can’t be a team player and then switch to a Rambo style lone wolf game-play. That does not help the team at all. They have my curiosity and I hope they captured yours and no we are not sponsored, just found it quite interesting and cool since most gamers want what they are trying to produce here with Hell Let Loose.
All right gamers that is all for now and I encourage you to find out more on their Kickstarter page by clicking on this link. As said before there are 27 days left to go before they reach their goal and I wish them luck because so far it looks promising. I will keep your updated on future news. – Beast Out –
