This is the best way to go out of April since this is the last week and all with an awesome interview of a shout caster in the Hardcore League Deadeye. What is a shout caster? Well, I am glad you ask, pretty much they are eSports commentators that give you the lay of the battlefield or play by play of what happens in the game. So far I have witnessed FGC casters, Moba casters and some Gears of War caster, but never have I witnessed one for Battlefield ever. This is a game that needs it the most with over 64 players and a huge map that is full of competitive players. It was cool meeting a lot of gamers across the board in the Gamers Community discord which you should check out and now get a sit down with a new gamer telling us their journey on how they became who they are when they realized they were Born with a Controller.
Oh, buddy, I am super excited about this new event coming up hosted by Xbox One Community and shall be shout cast by Hardcore League themselves. Why is Kuma so excited about this event? Well if you sit tight and have some patience you silly, I will tell you. It is all about Melee and in Battlefield 1 which is set in World War 1 the melee weapons are one of the best features in the game, well at least to me anyway. VulpixVixenKelz is bringing and interesting fight, a rumble on the battlefield where you go savage on each other, but there is a twist.
This is one of those moments where it is the best of both worlds happening right now! Play-asia.com teamed up with Kiyo and her cosplay skills to do a lovely giveaway of one of our favorite Overwatch characters Mei. Here is where you raises your signs of “Mei is Bae” as you check out this cute figurine from Nendoroid.
Happy Spring to you all and welcome back to another amazing interview for Born with a Controller. You know the segment where we interview gamers and talk about your digital origin story into gaming as well as what kept them gaming. So far we have interviewed 6 players and now this is the first time we say hi to our gamers overseas with Kellie a.k.a VulpixVixenKelz who has a strong group on Facebook called Battlefield1 Xbox One Community. It is a magical place where those like myself that had trouble squading up on Xbox One Battlefield 1. So far the community is chilled, everyone is friendly and the admins are down to Earth. Thanks to one of our management team members Lady Ar5enic who said, “you know you should interview Vulpix, she is mad cool.” So, we agreed to a voice interview and with the magical talents of Minddust_1792 in the audio department here you are.
I have to give credit to my friend Seph_Dean who brought up old memories as he chose Peebee in Mass Effect Andromeda as his in game waifu. It took me back to previous games that had the same choice system made me wonder how did other games make their choice. Did their choices involve achievement/trophy base or was their personal reasoning. I mean we have our ideas of fantasy crushes through anything geeky. I really thought about this decision in Mass Effect 2 and 3 as I made Jack my girlfriend, but I had to ask other gamers their thoughts on this.
DICE vs Community is back again in March with their Ultimate Showdown across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. This is going to be the first event featuring the Battlefield 1 community on the PC side. In that, we have our announcement video for you here.
Disclaimer: “Try to lighten up even though it is meant to be funny, but it also makes you think at times.
Why? It is a vague question I know because even with the title you are wondering what this is based on. I want to know why must we suffer the way we do in games that have specific missions that at times have vague intel? It is not always bad, at times you get a warning or prep time before you have to quest for an ultimate weapon or items. You are tasked with moral choices at times like Fable for example. In Fable 2 there is a quest called, “Sacrificing to the Shadows” where you sacrifice the village to the shadows. At the end, you get the Maelstrom and Gold. It was worth it, but this past weekend I faced a great evil in farming like so many that had warned me of these horrors. It made me see the darker side of questing and I didn’t like it one bit.
Wow, this segment is getting noticed and people are chiming in to be interviewed. It is always a pleasure to hear people stories in this genre. This time from Team Cerberus we interview Luigi a.k.a Deadshotreaper. Didn’t know him for too long, but I randomly dropped on his stream one day and found out this gamer is a native New Yorker like myself. After that checked out a few of his streams and saw how chilled he was which from there started to collaborate. In this time during one of our discord discussions, I just decided to start a random interview which worked out pretty well. Dude spawned from a gamer and his mother was a huge supporter of his craft and now he shares that story with you the people. Enjoy!
I have met a lot of great people during my gaming life and I started this segment to share their incredible stories with the rest of you. Can you remember your first gaming moment? Or when you first discovered your first secret in a game? How about your first great boss fight? I am pretty sure many of you have a great story to share. This time around we are sitting with Lena a.k.a xRed_Soulx who I first ran into many moons ago and I have to admit the first thought when I saw her was, “Damn, I wonder when she knew she was born with a controller?” This is Lena’s story.
What’s up everyone it’s ShadowJin here and we’re kicking off the beginning of this year with an interesting story of Born with a Controller. We’ve got a really special guest today who’s passion for gaming has taken him places we’ve all dreamed of. He’s won multiple major tournaments and landed a sponsorship with Ultra Arcade. He’s also made top 8 at Evo twice with him taking 7th place in 2015 and then showed everyone how fierce he can really be by getting 2nd place in 2016 playing Killer Instinct. This is just the icing on the cake of accomplishments this player has made. I’d like to introduce you guy and ladies to my good friend Bass.
