The highly anticipated Monster Hunter: World was revealed at this years E3, so of course, I am hyped with many other hunters that we are getting a console release. Right now we have game footage of the Ancient Forest mission where we will get a deeper glimpse on the strategy of hunting monsters. This is good for you new hunters out there to see how intense and what upgrades there will be while tracking down said monsters.
I’ve said it before and I will stay stating this that I want to see GAMEPLAY! Trailers are cool and all when it comes to video game previews, but it doesn’t matter until we see some form of gameplay be it in pre-alpha, alpha or beta. I do not give a Sonic the Hedgehog coin, I need gameplay to define how I will initially feel about the game before its release! I am probably a bit late in the game for all of this but today Ubisoft unleashed some gameplay footage for us to check out.
Okay, so last night I went to the Sony experience thinking the reveal of Monster Hunter World was an exclusive title. I was just excited and shut my mind out of all of its glory. I am a glaive user in the 3Ds version and having to farm all those hours hunting, carving and burning of meats. It was an awesome adventure to be had. Now that I have all the information I am even more excited to learn that Monster Hunter is coming to Xbox One and PC as well. Let’s take a gander at that trailer.
How long have I been a Crackdown fan? Yea, I know that wasn’t your question but I will tell you anyway. Crackdown was bought because of the Halo 3 Multiplayer beta like every other gamer I was shocked that Crackdown was a great game! Some of you may not remember, but to gain access to the multiplayer Beta we needed to first buy Crackdown. Being an Agent in this futuristic open world setting was top notch gaming. The more things you did to level up the more powerful your agent will become and not just the Agent, but the vehicles you drove. This lead to a sequel that was not a fan favorite because a different studio took over, but it did offer a new 4 player co-op, however, the vehicle level up system wasn’t there. What was there to come of Crackdown?
Delays can go one of two ways as many of you have witnessed and I for one have to admit when I was younger I hated the way as well as hearing a delay happens. As I got older I became understanding and grateful for the delays since I am still playing certain games. It does seem a new game comes out every week and now Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released Spring of 2018. Take your time Rockstar.
Wasn’t too long ago we covered Yakuza 0 earlier this year? I am not complaining at all, the Yakuza series is one of the best gangster open world experiences out there. There are many stories to tell in the series, but it is interesting seeing a new title so soon even if it is a remastered game. The “Dragon of Dojima” first came to gamers on the PlayStation 2 and now we get to relive that 2006 story on the PlayStation 4.
